The Center on Asia and Globalisation (CAG), a premier research institution of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore, invites applications for the following project(s):

South Asian Science Engagement Project & Energy Policies of China, India and Japan

The Projects:
The South Asian Science Engagement Project seeks to enhance the quality of life and standard of living for the people of South Asia and China, through improved relations among their scientists and among their governments. The Energy Policies of China, India and Japan project aims to bring together three top Chinese, Japanese and Indian experts to thoroughly examine the energy policies of China, India and Japan and more, importantly, the structure and process of energy policymaking of the three powers.

The Position:
1 research assistant’s (RA) position is available to assist the Principal Investigators (PIs) on an approximate 50-50 basis on the two projects. The full-time position will be for 1 year.

The RA will contribute to the following:

• Assisting the PIs on gathering field intelligence
• Establishing contact with stakeholders
• Collection and organization of primary and secondary data
• Literature review
• Analytical write-ups and summary of research reports

Essential Qualifications & Requirements:

• Post-graduate degree in economics; engineering; science; or public policy
• Demonstrated record of, or high potential for, research ability
• Prior familiarity with writing policy papers; conducting fieldwork research etc are advantageous
• Excellent verbal and written English language skills
• Strong analytical skills
